Open Doors Youth Service
Open Doors runs several groups and services for LGBTQIA+ young people and the website is a great website for young people and their parents to find out the basics of what it means to be LGBTQIA+.
Diverse Voices
Formerly known as the Gay and Lesbian Welfare Association, this is a non-profit organization with a focus on the well-being of the LGBTI community through operation of the Gay Line and Lesbian line, peer telephone counselling service.

includes a monthly group – Transcendence Social and Emotional Support group on the last Thursday of every month, from 6pm-8pm at 159 St. Paul’s Terrace, Brisbane
Queensland Council for LGBTI Health
An independent community-based health promotion charity, providing one of the strongest voices for LGBTQIA+ health.
QuAC also runs the 2 Spirits program for Aboriginal and Torres Straight islanders.
Community HIV Education and Prevention (CHEP)
provides resources to reduce HIV infection in Queensland.
Queensland Positive People
Helps people who are HIV positive.
LGBTI Legal Service
A not-for-profit organization which can provide fact sheets and advice on legal issues affecting LGBTQIA+ people.
Australian Transgender Support Association Queensland Inc
A support group for Transgender or Genderqueer people who hold monthly meetings in Brisbane.
Trans Health Australia and Trans Health Queensland are advocacy and peer support networks for Trans people.
